Dr. Justine Wergin is board certified in Emergency Medicine and board eligible in Pain Medicine. She completed her fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine at the University of Virginia, where she developed expertise in advanced spine and joint procedures, ultrasound-guided interventions, and multidisciplinary approaches to managing chronic and acute pain.
Dr. Wergin earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University, following undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she served as Chief Resident. During residency, she developed a strong foundation in procedural medicine, critical care, and patient advocacy, particularly in high-acuity settings.
Dr. Wergin is passionate about helping patients reclaim their lives from pain. Her approach emphasizes empathy, evidence-based treatments, and a collaborative relationship with each patient. She believes in listening closely to each patient’s story to develop customized care plans that address not just physical symptoms, but the emotional and lifestyle impacts of pain as well.
In her free time, Dr. Wergin enjoys exploring new restaurants and spending time with her husband and three young children.
